Hero Arts set - Four Dolls, and actually stamped four images, but only one made it onto the card. This was one of those "zOMG I NEED THIS" sets... which has sat unloved since it arrived, moons ago. I have friends who are currently (well, not this second, but you know) jumping through a squillion hoops in hopes of adopting a child from China. So hopefully this card will come in handy sooner than later. One can hope anyway. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The card is a bit spurkly &lt;text size=5&gt;(My desk and I are COVERED in gold smooch ATM...)&lt;/text size&gt; and blingy, but i love it, so there :)&lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-MGxCCrKoRcA/T72abQDyIYI/AAAAAAAABkU/1saSVroXAp8/s640/blogger-image--1804459406.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-MGxCCrKoRcA/T72abQDyIYI/AAAAAAAABkU/1saSVroXAp8/s640/blogger-image--1804459406.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-7055611876393271819?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/05/card-patterns-sketch-meet-hero-arts.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-MGxCCrKoRcA/T72abQDyIYI/AAAAAAAABkU/1saSVroXAp8/s72-c/blogger-image--1804459406.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>2</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-3043531464733601390</guid><pubDate>Mon, 21 May 2012 02:16:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-05-20T23:16:07.098-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>general</category><title>Paper Smooches Sparks challenge</title><description>I made this earlier in the week and almost forgot to post it - oops!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, here is my entry for this week's &lt;a href=http://papersmoochessparks.blogspot.ca/2012/05/may-14-20-designer-drafts.html?m=1&gt;PS SparksDesigner Drafts&lt;/a&gt; challenge. We were give a great sketch, and this is what I came up with... &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The background was made using two heart stamps from the Folkal Points set, stamped in versamark &amp; embossed using iridescent EP. The funky bird is from that set as well. The sentiment on the front is from Sentiment Sampler. I even used a sentiment from my only other PS set, Hope, on the inside. CS and ribbon is SU. &lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-O0VQZyFShBs/T7mlZuOCrQI/AAAAAAAABkE/ciblQlkx94k/s640/blogger-image--998808635.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-O0VQZyFShBs/T7mlZuOCrQI/AAAAAAAABkE/ciblQlkx94k/s640/blogger-image--998808635.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-3043531464733601390?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/05/paper-smooches-sparks-challenge.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-O0VQZyFShBs/T7mlZuOCrQI/AAAAAAAABkE/ciblQlkx94k/s72-c/blogger-image--998808635.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>1</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-8083712192858502645</guid><pubDate>Mon, 14 May 2012 02:07:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-05-14T20:26:27.162-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>holidays</category><title>MFTWSC71</title><description>&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tB2OQO2hx4w/T7GTFIV4aXI/AAAAAAAABjs/MwopQrms2_8/s1600/mftwsc71.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tB2OQO2hx4w/T7GTFIV4aXI/AAAAAAAABjs/MwopQrms2_8/s1600/mftwsc71.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;I haven't gotten around to playing with the &lt;a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/?p=10286"&gt;MFT sketch&lt;/a&gt; in a while, but I needed to make mother's day cards for our moms on thursday night, so i pulled up the sketch &amp;amp; got to work. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;These cards are Huuuuuuuge. 6x8.5. huuuuuuge. I had taken the kidlet for his free mother's day portrait (&amp;amp; passport pics while we were there) this week, so the cards had to be big enough to hold the 6x8 pic. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The base is textured bashful blue, and the yellowy/goldish strip (golden smooch spray!) isfrom a pre-sprayed piece of the "magic" SU paper. the other two are from a DCWV glittered Stack (suuuper cute). the die on the side is MFT, and the buttony flower on the side is a mishmash of techniques :P because this card also uses three patterned papers, i'm entering it in this week's SOS too. yay for double entries! :P &lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-8083712192858502645?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/05/mftwsc71.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tB2OQO2hx4w/T7GTFIV4aXI/AAAAAAAABjs/MwopQrms2_8/s72-c/mftwsc71.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>1</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-1410119800660094190</guid><pubDate>Mon, 14 May 2012 01:59:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-05-14T20:28:13.457-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>general</category><title>Patterned paper challenge</title><description>&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Btsxuw-SoUU/T7GTEw6URJI/AAAAAAAABjw/9Lk4oSEJeOY/s1600/melissa.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Btsxuw-SoUU/T7GTEw6URJI/AAAAAAAABjw/9Lk4oSEJeOY/s1600/melissa.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;this week's&lt;a href="http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.ca/2012/05/shopping-our-stash-challenge-51-use-3.html"&gt; SOS challenge&lt;/a&gt; is to use 3(or more) patterned papers. I had to make up a card for a tweep anyway, so finally sat down to do it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I used scraps of tone-on-tone rose red, pumpkin pie &amp;amp; turquoise SU DSPs, and a pre-cut wasabi top note die from a different scrap bin. Even the ribbon and card base had already been cut. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I quite like how the card turned out - the wasabi leaves tie the top note pc in nicely, and the gems in the fleurs give it a nice sparkle. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-1410119800660094190?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/05/patterned-paper-challenge.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Btsxuw-SoUU/T7GTEw6URJI/AAAAAAAABjw/9Lk4oSEJeOY/s72-c/melissa.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>1</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-7845245809522612159</guid><pubDate>Tue, 08 May 2012 02:47:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-05-07T23:47:33.834-03:00</atom:updated><title>Meet Jakin &amp; Shyla</title><description>&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://i795.photobucket.com/albums/yy233/LoriBoyd/Bug%20and%20Roo%20Stamps%20by%20Hannah/Digi-BLD-BugRooStamps-Babies-HannahBoyd-copyright.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="170" src="http://i795.photobucket.com/albums/yy233/LoriBoyd/Bug%20and%20Roo%20Stamps%20by%20Hannah/Digi-BLD-BugRooStamps-Babies-HannahBoyd-copyright.jpg" width="320" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;Meet Jakin &amp;amp; Shyla. I found them on &lt;a href="http://loriboyd.blogspot.ca/"&gt;By LORi Designs&lt;/a&gt;' site while blurfing earlier today... While cute, I thought this was "just another baby stamp.." but then I read the description beside the image... "These two cuties have been drawn in honor of 2 Precious Babies who live in heaven. You can read their stories at '&lt;a href="http://blessedbycreativejoy.blogspot.ca/2010/12/our-story.html"&gt;blessedbycreativejoy&lt;/a&gt;.' the proceeds from the sale of this digi will be donated by Hannah to the March of Dimes in honor and memory of Jakin Isaac and Shyla Joy"....my interest was piqued, so I clicked over to read more. As should you. I'll wait. Now, here's a kleenex - I couldn't get over hte heartbreak that poor family had been through. I have friends with Factor V Leiden, and one friend in particular who gave birth to twins last year - one alive, one stillborn - and the story really hit home. I feel so bad for this family, and others who have gone through similar ordeals. So, if you're looking for a new baby digi image, or just want to support a good cause, check out the Jakin &amp;amp; Shyla digi stamp.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-7845245809522612159?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/05/meet-jakin-shyla.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://i795.photobucket.com/albums/yy233/LoriBoyd/Bug%20and%20Roo%20Stamps%20by%20Hannah/th_Digi-BLD-BugRooStamps-Babies-HannahBoyd-copyright.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-4779198103533509941</guid><pubDate>Tue, 08 May 2012 02:22:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-05-07T23:22:59.062-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>baby</category><title>Another SOS card!</title><description>&lt;a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-9_gnIcEIYJw/T6iA3SoevII/AAAAAAAABig/ozuTdZs8zUk/s640/blogger-image-1680005599.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="320" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-9_gnIcEIYJw/T6iA3SoevII/AAAAAAAABig/ozuTdZs8zUk/s320/blogger-image-1680005599.jpg" width="240" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;How's this for &lt;a href="http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.ca/2012/05/shopping-our-stash-challenge-50-mothers.html"&gt;girly&lt;/a&gt;? :D i know the amount of pink will hurt &lt;a href="http://thecrookedstamper.blogspot.ca/"&gt;Leslie's&lt;/a&gt; eyes, but isn't she cute? i got the idea from &lt;a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/248823948132236298/"&gt;Pinterest&lt;/a&gt; &lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;(where else, really)&lt;/span&gt;, and made her up tonight after I cleaned up my cave. I used 2 stamps from my PS set "Folkal Points", and SU cardstock in Crumb Cake (base), Tangerine Tango, Perfect Plum, and uh, I'm actually not sure what color the blue is. it's old though - retired longtime now. Tangerine embossing powder, crumb cake ribbon and some itsy pearls finish it off. I'd seen a card similar to this on &lt;a href="http://stampwithheather.typepad.com/stamp_with_heather/2012/04/a-2-minute-cardseriuously.html"&gt;Heather's blog&lt;/a&gt;, and wanted to recreate it. I also wanted to put a card in with a diaper bag I sold online (woo!) so came up with this. Heather used DSP, but I was trying to make an entry for the &lt;a href="http://papersmooches.blogspot.ca/2012/05/contest.html"&gt;Paper Smooches "card stock only" contest&lt;/a&gt;, so I improvised. I used Tangerine Tango, Perfect Plum &amp;amp; kraft/crumb cake, and love hte combination. I mounted them on basic grey card stock, and embossed the PS sentiment with Tangerine Tango. The ribbon is from the stash of MFT ribbon I"ve got - I love how shimmery it is in real life (no, really)... easy to work with, too. &amp;nbsp;I think it hides too much of hte actual card stock though, so I'll recreate with different ribbon (3/8" taffeta?) tonight. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-1084900896126403481?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/05/sos-50-girly.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3CbVHKEtqpg/T6UzPpgy3gI/AAAAAAAABiE/R-cb-of0sD4/s72-c/sos50.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>1</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-6754775584943145387</guid><pubDate>Mon, 23 Apr 2012 01:36:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-04-22T22:36:25.378-03:00</atom:updated><title>And another!</title><description>&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;I went surfing on Pinterest today to see what I could find to serve as inspiration for hubs' 40th birthday card.. I didn't find anything I wanted to CASE, but found lots of nautical, sailing, man-type cards that I did like. I pulled out my "Sail Away" stamp from SU &amp;amp; looked through my baggies from paper shares of the past, and found this beigy slightly distressed piece of DSP, and it was perfect. I inked the image in black (*gasp* I never use black ink!) and then cut out a mask so I could go to work on the water/sunset. The sunset isn't PERFECT, but I think it turned out ok. I'm no &lt;a href="http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/"&gt;Zindorf&lt;/a&gt;, that's for sure ;) *bows to the wonderful Michelle Zindorf* I stamped the sentiment in the bottom in suede, and backed it on some suede holiday paper (hee!).. marina mist DSP &amp;amp; some oooooold vintage brads, et voila!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-cf9JHDDcHZk/T5Sn1YmW5vI/AAAAAAAABhM/FnwTkl5k_Ro/s640/blogger-image-678149347.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-cf9JHDDcHZk/T5Sn1YmW5vI/AAAAAAAABhM/FnwTkl5k_Ro/s640/blogger-image-678149347.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;SOS 48 is water-related, so here's another.. water &amp;amp; a boat - fits the bill, so in it goes! So using that lil piece of info, plus some inspiration from &lt;a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/248823948132441993/"&gt;this card on Pinterest&lt;/a&gt; (no, really), I came up with this...&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-srLFSMfVUvI/T5Nujc9noPI/AAAAAAAABhE/sPvvhUy14Po/s640/blogger-image--1586853538.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-srLFSMfVUvI/T5Nujc9noPI/AAAAAAAABhE/sPvvhUy14Po/s640/blogger-image--1586853538.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;I love the little jungle-ish animals from SU's Fox &amp;amp; Friend (which I hadn't used in forever &amp;amp; a day).. and the umbrella is from my very fave retired set "Font of You". The parents-to-be have not found out the sex of their child, so I've matted the card &amp;amp; sentiment in both pink pirouette &amp;amp; baja breeze. The umbrella is colored in baja/soft suede/pink, then embossed with the pearly embossing powder I've had for-ever. Animals were colored in kraft/suede on sparkly paper, and cut out. And man, cutting around those little tails was a PITA. but well worth it, bc they're cute. I colored tummies/spots in blue or pink and lightly sponged the embossed white panel with baja for "rain". I mean, it IS a shower card, right? ;)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;SOS 48 is april showers/rain/water related - and hey, this has an umbrella on it, "rain" and the word shower. Plus a set I hadn't inked in forever (I think I"ve said that already, right? well, it's been so long, i mentioned it again)... Hope you like it!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-5959553046305784267?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/04/baby-shower-sos-style.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-srLFSMfVUvI/T5Nujc9noPI/AAAAAAAABhE/sPvvhUy14Po/s72-c/blogger-image--1586853538.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>2</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-4247857639495239260</guid><pubDate>Thu, 05 Apr 2012 01:17:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-04-04T22:51:47.817-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>holiday</category><title>for an "Eggstra" special boy...</title><description>&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.papersmoochesstamps.com"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jmZRwiETIAE/T3zxiLLrQrI/AAAAAAAABgQ/Ydlofz-_yiM/s1600/Paper+Smooches+logo+sparks+copy.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The current &lt;a href="http://papersmoochessparks.blogspot.ca/2012/03/challenge-dates-march-22-april-4.html"&gt;Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;(&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;which uh, ends tonight.. nothing like last minute, Chelle..&lt;/span&gt;.) is based on a super cute bunny image from Pinterest. I saw a great Easter card on &lt;a href="http://stampwithheather.typepad.com/stamp_with_heather/2012/04/button-buddies-easter.html"&gt;Heather's blog&lt;/a&gt; this morning, and decided to (somewhat) case it for LJ's Easter card...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The card uses two of the free digi images offered on the Paper Smooches blog - the basket and the word eggstra. The bunnypig's body is from the SU Button Buddies set. I cut off his ears and made punchy ears using the small oval and the word window. A pink button, some scallop-punched "grass", and some clouds from the punch-bin, et voilà! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;AND, because there are at least two punched bits (ears/grass, possibly the die-cut clouds too), the card qualifies for &lt;a href="http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.ca/2012/04/shopping-our-stash-challenge-46-punch.html"&gt;SOS 46: punch it out&lt;/a&gt;! i'd like to point out that beside the 2 digi images, which i'd printed/cut a while ago, this entire card was made of scraps... yay me!&lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-AnOXyWfzkEE/T3z6jIfDW_I/AAAAAAAABgY/g3R91VGInQI/s640/blogger-image-1150795544.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-AnOXyWfzkEE/T3z6jIfDW_I/AAAAAAAABgY/g3R91VGInQI/s640/blogger-image-1150795544.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-4247857639495239260?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/04/for-special-boy.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jmZRwiETIAE/T3zxiLLrQrI/AAAAAAAABgQ/Ydlofz-_yiM/s72-c/Paper+Smooches+logo+sparks+copy.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>4</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-362544754302742381</guid><pubDate>Tue, 03 Apr 2012 18:53:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-04-03T15:53:38.233-03:00</atom:updated><title>A beary nice card..</title><description>First time in a while i've posted something that wasn't made to go with a specific challenge. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;LJ received a lovely quilt in the mail yesterday from one of his great aunts, and I wanted to make a card similar to the quilt to say thank you... &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I used Memory Box papers for the "quilt" and trim, and then I paper pieced the bears on BG Marrakesh paper. their tummies are coated in caramel colored flock... i was going to run the whole thing through an embossing folder to give it more of a quilted look, but thought that might be a bit much... i'll try and get a pic of the real quilt up later..&lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-C9sy0K0xSyo/T3tHMPI1NYI/AAAAAAAABf8/6TaHwBUBBDU/s640/blogger-image-500237043.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-C9sy0K0xSyo/T3tHMPI1NYI/AAAAAAAABf8/6TaHwBUBBDU/s640/blogger-image-500237043.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-362544754302742381?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/04/beary-nice-card.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-C9sy0K0xSyo/T3tHMPI1NYI/AAAAAAAABf8/6TaHwBUBBDU/s72-c/blogger-image-500237043.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-6538622606713424670</guid><pubDate>Mon, 02 Apr 2012 18:56:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-04-02T15:58:15.077-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>sympathy</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><title>Learn from my mistake...</title><description>Click through from your Reader to a blog post, don't be lazy like me... Apparently reading blog posts in Google Reader instead of clicking through comes with an unmentioned pitfall - whenever the post is updated, Reader updates the date to current, instead of whatever it &lt;i&gt;should&lt;/i&gt; be. And then, things like this happen - i made this card for the &lt;a href=http://iheart2stamp.com/2012/03/31/march-sketch-for-you-to-try-3/&gt;March SFYTT challenge&lt;/a&gt;, thinking I could still link it up, but uh, no. When I saw the post date and time as today at 845 am, i was all excited - still time to play!! but ah well. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Regardless, I quite like what I came up with, even if it is &lt;i&gt;another&lt;/i&gt; sympathy card. If you include the pet one from my post on the weekend, that's five sympathy cards in a week or so. About five too many, really. Especially in such a short period. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I followed the sketch fairly closely, except I'm a bit out of proportion with the vertical bits, and you can't really see the button-as-circular element under the seam binding bow. &lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-uZm9pnvIu_U/T3n2Xfy5V8I/AAAAAAAABf0/QRP3pJLgI-c/s640/blogger-image--1326967558.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-uZm9pnvIu_U/T3n2Xfy5V8I/AAAAAAAABf0/QRP3pJLgI-c/s640/blogger-image--1326967558.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-6538622606713424670?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/04/learn-from-my-mistake.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-uZm9pnvIu_U/T3n2Xfy5V8I/AAAAAAAABf0/QRP3pJLgI-c/s72-c/blogger-image--1326967558.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-5379941055665047302</guid><pubDate>Sun, 01 Apr 2012 15:15:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-04-02T15:56:51.468-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>sympathy</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><title>mftwsc65 rainbow bridge</title><description>&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-c48HBOUgrFs/T3htCFlylNI/AAAAAAAABfw/vGRK_YExQV4/s1600/mftwsc65.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-c48HBOUgrFs/T3htCFlylNI/AAAAAAAABfw/vGRK_YExQV4/s320/mftwsc65.jpg" width="316" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;My friend`s beloved cat Theo died last month, and I wanted to send her a card to show my sympathies... She specifically mentioned the '&lt;a href="http://petloss.com/rainbowbridge.htm"&gt;rainbow bridge&lt;/a&gt;' poem on FB when she updated that he'd died, so I used that theme to make this card for her... I &lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;tried to&lt;/span&gt; make a rainbow out of my huuuuuge button stash, and i printed the poem &amp;amp; "Waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge" on vanilla CS. The poem is inside the card, and usually I put the sentiment inside as well, but I was also playing with the &lt;a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/?p=9509"&gt;MFTWSC65&lt;/a&gt; sketch, so used it in place of the small rectangular sentiment on the sketch. I even made the card square like the sketch, instead of adapting it to A2.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Sorry the pic is fuzzy - it was tiny after uploading from my phone, so i enlarged it a bit...&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-5379941055665047302?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/04/mftwsc65-rainbow-bridge.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-c48HBOUgrFs/T3htCFlylNI/AAAAAAAABfw/vGRK_YExQV4/s72-c/mftwsc65.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-7571059200619823585</guid><pubDate>Tue, 27 Mar 2012 02:15:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-03-26T23:23:10.254-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>baby</category><title>Cute as a button</title><description>Another &lt;a href=http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.ca/2012/03/shopping-our-stash-challenge-44-buttons.html?m=1&gt;SOS&lt;/a&gt; card! yay for stash usage!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have somewhat cased this card from the lovely &lt;a href=http://thecrookedstamper.blogspot.com&gt;Crookedstamper&lt;/a&gt; (aka Leslie)... she'd made one similar to this shortly after buying her Cameo machine, and i loved those cutout letters so much I asked her to make me some too. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So anyway... I used my last pink front (of 6! yeesh - that's a lot of baby girls! all 6 blue fronts still sit in their baggie...), and mounted that on some sparkly pink and vanilla DSP from many moons (and catalogs..) ago. Mount all that on a pink base, add a bit of vanilla and pink ribbon from the bin as a "bow" and a little white-ish button, et voilà - cute stashy card number two for the evening. &lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-WIvbDB2wJng/T3EivsEek5I/AAAAAAAABfI/z8sq4O3wMOs/s640/blogger-image-1033241265.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-WIvbDB2wJng/T3EivsEek5I/AAAAAAAABfI/z8sq4O3wMOs/s640/blogger-image-1033241265.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-7571059200619823585?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/03/cute-as-button.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-WIvbDB2wJng/T3EivsEek5I/AAAAAAAABfI/z8sq4O3wMOs/s72-c/blogger-image-1033241265.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>1</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-5065927631921108048</guid><pubDate>Tue, 27 Mar 2012 02:04:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-03-26T23:21:06.008-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>sympathy</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><title>Under the wire...</title><description>again. Maybe THAT should be the title of this blog, bc it seems to happen more often than not that I get my challenge stuff done just before the linkies close... y'know, when I get a chance to play at all. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I digress. This week's &lt;a href=http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.ca/2012/03/shopping-our-stash-challenge-44-buttons.html?m=1&gt;SOS challenge&lt;/a&gt; was buttons and/orbows. I made two cards that fit this requirement - and both use mucho stash paper too (and ribbon! and buttons!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is the first card I made tonight.. it's a sympathy card for a coworker. Her partner passed away last week after a very short encounter with that blasted Cancer. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The DSP, button and ribbon have all been in their respective bins for months.. and I don't think I've used the hydrangea stamp in ages either... I think i may FINALLY be out of that baby blue ribbon... time for *gasp* twine? we will see, we will see..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I'll be back in a bit with my second UTWSOS card.... please try and contain your excitement :P&lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-8AusseqCBho/T3EgPo9585I/AAAAAAAABe8/wYfqHU1_mkk/s640/blogger-image-1254636357.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-8AusseqCBho/T3EgPo9585I/AAAAAAAABe8/wYfqHU1_mkk/s640/blogger-image-1254636357.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-5065927631921108048?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/03/under-wire.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-8AusseqCBho/T3EgPo9585I/AAAAAAAABe8/wYfqHU1_mkk/s72-c/blogger-image-1254636357.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-5591911477706951844</guid><pubDate>Fri, 16 Mar 2012 23:25:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-03-16T20:25:02.560-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>baby</category><title>I'll leave perfect to Hallmark...</title><description>I wanted to include a card with a parcel of baby clothes I was sending to a friend, so pulled out the MFT Sketch from this week &amp;amp; knew the perfect set to use - &lt;a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/index.php?route=product/product&amp;amp;filter_name=grown&amp;amp;product_id=1016"&gt;My How You've Grown WTG&lt;/a&gt;. (second sketch challenge of the week. wooo! go me!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;here's the sketch:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/MFTWSC63.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="320" src="http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/MFTWSC63.jpg" width="320" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;and here's my card:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EP6kG4-ZByk/T2PLlEnxiHI/AAAAAAAABc4/W87X9seQYzM/s1600/how+you%2527ve+grown.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EP6kG4-ZByk/T2PLlEnxiHI/AAAAAAAABc4/W87X9seQYzM/s1600/how+you%2527ve+grown.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;I love how this turned out, even though I had to squish the sketch a bit to fit the sentiment. I love the colors/papers esp - the pinks &amp;amp; orange w choc chip are great together. I don't love the ribbon, but if I don't use it, i can't really justify nicer stuff, right? (&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;like THAT has stopped me before..&lt;/span&gt;.) &amp;nbsp; And ya, it's a bit &lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;(ok, a lot)&lt;/span&gt; crooked, but umm... thems are the joys of home made. it's not perfect, it won't be. I knew which image/sentiment I wanted to use, so I turned the sketch on it's side, as I figured it worked better that way. Here's the sketch...&lt;/url=http:&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-u1keOwNtjWs/T10yFCvC2WI/AAAAAAAAHRA/jJuNnty9QNI/s320/Mojo232Sketch.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-u1keOwNtjWs/T10yFCvC2WI/AAAAAAAAHRA/jJuNnty9QNI/s320/Mojo232Sketch.gif" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;url=http: 03="" 2012="" mojo-monday-232.html="" mojomonday.blogspot.com=""&gt;...and here's my card.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/url=http:&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_aPsLn8qZn8/T2IGgqs1bII/AAAAAAAABcY/uL070IAe0jA/s1600/mojo232.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_aPsLn8qZn8/T2IGgqs1bII/AAAAAAAABcY/uL070IAe0jA/s1600/mojo232.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;I quite like how it turned out, even though this is the 4th iteration of sorts of this card.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;url=http: 03="" 2012="" mojo-monday-232.html="" mojomonday.blogspot.com=""&gt;First, i had that lil butterfly on the ribbon where the bow is, but the consensus on twitter was that bfly was too small for the ribbon. &lt;br /&gt;Second version: moved bfly to the leaf and left ribbon bare. but that was boring and i'd mussed the ribbon a bit when i was fussing around, so it NEEDED something. &lt;br /&gt;Third, i die cut a slightly larger bfly, blinged it up and put it on the button. I liked it, but it still wasn't right. &lt;br /&gt;Finally, I moved the bigger bfly inside, and threaded a piece of white ribbon through the button, tied a bow, and called it done. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/url=http:&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;url=http: 03="" 2012="" mojo-monday-232.html="" mojomonday.blogspot.com=""&gt;Thanks to my tweeps last night for the comments &amp;amp; feedback - love y'all!&lt;/url=http:&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-4258226861167420164?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/03/mojo-monday-232.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-u1keOwNtjWs/T10yFCvC2WI/AAAAAAAAHRA/jJuNnty9QNI/s72-c/Mojo232Sketch.gif' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>1</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-6829797916690525744</guid><pubDate>Sun, 11 Mar 2012 03:06:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-03-10T23:06:41.252-04:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>blog candy</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>offers</category><title>Wanna win a Ribbon Carousel?</title><description>of course you do! So i &lt;strike&gt;found&lt;/strike&gt; took my shimmer paint spray, spritzed the folder a few times and ran it through again. i love the effect - shimmery, watercolory... and even tho the embossing on the flowers is off a bit, i think it looks pretty neat. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;i then took a sentiment from the SU retired set "Font of you" (a fave) &amp; heat embossed the quote on some razzleberry DSP. I layered the embossed piece on a bigger piece of DSP &amp; plopped it on razzleberry CS, et voilà!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm going to submit this to SOS's embossing challenge bc there's both dry embossing &amp; heat embossing . plus, i used scrap DSP.. yay for getting a second, totally different card in for the challenge!&lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-auRyzIERm8o/T1t68wCt87I/AAAAAAAABbo/N4uJ6H11tUU/s640/blogger-image-717807402.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-auRyzIERm8o/T1t68wCt87I/AAAAAAAABbo/N4uJ6H11tUU/s640/blogger-image-717807402.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-1090194420681979248?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/03/this-was-supposed-to-be-pink-card.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-auRyzIERm8o/T1t68wCt87I/AAAAAAAABbo/N4uJ6H11tUU/s72-c/blogger-image-717807402.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>1</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-6857186524582120889</guid><pubDate>Fri, 09 Mar 2012 10:00:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-03-26T23:21:57.051-03:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>birthday</category><title>Happy birthday, Leslie!</title><description>Folks, it's my stampy twitter pal &lt;a href="http://thecrookedstamper.blogspot.com/"&gt;Crookedstamper&lt;/a&gt;'s birthday today, so please wish her a very happy birthday!! In her honor, I actually made a card last night! late-ish last night, against my better judgement at that, but she's worth it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-e2wbcdSLTqg/T1mKE7dz3lI/AAAAAAAABbE/-5Zpf_7Ussk/s640/blogger-image-1381174723.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-e2wbcdSLTqg/T1mKE7dz3lI/AAAAAAAABbE/-5Zpf_7Ussk/s640/blogger-image-1381174723.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I love the baja and grey together.. so purty. On top of being a birthday card for a great pal, it follows the MFT sketch for this week..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/MFTWSC62.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="258" src="http://www.mftstamps.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/MFTWSC62.jpg" width="320" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;and uses a sentiment from the MFT "clearly sentimental about Birthdays" set as a bonus. Plus, the card fits the bill for the SOS challenge "&lt;a href="http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/2012/03/hello-and-welcome-to-shopping-our-stash.html"&gt;emboss this&lt;/a&gt;" as the cupcakes / stands / sentiment were all heat embossed with pearly EP! So yay me for playing along! Plus the baja mat was plucked from the scrap bin (just like that... all sponged and smooched. yay me?), the base was in the pile o'card bases, and the ribbon was in my vat-o-ribbon. so a lil bit of stash used up too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So Leslie, while the card says to respect grey hairs, i hope you don't find any today, or many over the next year. THank you for being a great friend &amp;amp; sounding board. Here's to many more stampy birthdays! Cheers!! &lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-6857186524582120889?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/03/happy-birthday-leslie.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-e2wbcdSLTqg/T1mKE7dz3lI/AAAAAAAABbE/-5Zpf_7Ussk/s72-c/blogger-image-1381174723.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>5</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-135568665212874385</guid><pubDate>Tue, 21 Feb 2012 03:25:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-02-20T23:52:44.862-04:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>pictures</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>general</category><title>under the wire!</title><description>I'm just under the wire (hah, punny) for this week's SOS challenge - &lt;a href=http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/2012/02/shopping-our-stash-challenge-39-metal.html&gt;metal mania&lt;/a&gt;, . and that's because i had NO IDEA the card I made tonight would fit the bill in the least. I ended up using two red metal brads that I've had forever and a turquoise bit o' bling that i've had almost as long in the bottom sentiment strip. yay stash! i've had that DSP forevah.. time to start using it up.. and the ribbon? used to be on a ribbon sampler from when I was a demo... i covered up the hole with the sentiment strip :D&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The card is based on this week's &lt;a href=http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2012/02/mojo-monday-229.html&gt;Mojo Monday&lt;/a&gt; sketch, which I love &amp; will probably use a few more times. &lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-6TVvsR4UUj0/T0MVC3BHhVI/AAAAAAAABa4/FeWs6DR7Arg/s640/blogger-image--242490967.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-6TVvsR4UUj0/T0MVC3BHhVI/AAAAAAAABa4/FeWs6DR7Arg/s640/blogger-image--242490967.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-135568665212874385?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/02/under-wire.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-6TVvsR4UUj0/T0MVC3BHhVI/AAAAAAAABa4/FeWs6DR7Arg/s72-c/blogger-image--242490967.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-8560656452187319950</guid><pubDate>Sat, 21 Jan 2012 20:07:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-01-21T16:10:49.624-04:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>general</category><title>SOS 35 - borders</title><description>&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t8HS_p0dW0M/TxsYBmSbCqI/AAAAAAAABZg/KeAPPtV5f-A/s1600/IMG_1362.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="249" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t8HS_p0dW0M/TxsYBmSbCqI/AAAAAAAABZg/KeAPPtV5f-A/s320/IMG_1362.JPG" width="320" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;I had a request from one of my tweeps to make a card for a mutual friend who will be doing an IUI cycle in a month or so. Would I make a card to help cheer her on? Sure thing! I found these great cheerleader digis at &lt;a href="http://www.squigglefly.com/shop/just-cheer"&gt;Squigglefly&lt;/a&gt; - how cute are they?!?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I colored 'em in using my SU markers (&amp;amp; a blender pen for the hair), and then popped 'em up on dimensionals. I'm submitting this for &lt;a href="http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/2012/01/shopping-our-stash-challenge-35-across.html"&gt;SOS 35&lt;/a&gt;, as the "borders" on my card are both cut from MFT dies - banner &amp;amp; grass. Everything but the card base &amp;amp; paper the girls are printed on was already in the scrap bin. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And yes, the banner says #cougareggs. :D&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-8560656452187319950?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/01/sos-35-borders.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t8HS_p0dW0M/TxsYBmSbCqI/AAAAAAAABZg/KeAPPtV5f-A/s72-c/IMG_1362.JPG' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>5</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-3104873151001591375</guid><pubDate>Wed, 18 Jan 2012 00:14:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-01-17T20:36:33.358-04:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>general</category><title>pdcc114</title><description>&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3OXlrXCtD3U/TxYPwbiY4pI/AAAAAAAABZc/hqLgUk_PMfc/s1600/pdcc114.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3OXlrXCtD3U/TxYPwbiY4pI/AAAAAAAABZc/hqLgUk_PMfc/s1600/pdcc114.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;I'm getting in &lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;(just)&lt;/span&gt; under the wire for &lt;a href="http://theplaydatecafe.blogspot.com/2012/01/play-date-cafe-challenge-pdcc114.html"&gt;PDCC114&lt;/a&gt; - the colors were burgundy, gold &amp;amp; purple. The colors I used are SU cherry cobbler, kraft (spritzed with shimmer paint for sparkle), and concord crush DSP (no, really). Gold embossing powder &amp;amp; smooch spray shimmer up the card. I used Unity's &lt;a href="http://unitystampco.com/product/202-shoot-for-the-moon.aspx"&gt;Shoot for the Moon&lt;/a&gt; set to create this card, which is actually a congratulations card for my friend Mariam whose first book was released earlier this month. &lt;a href="http://www.amazon.com/Distant-Shore-Mariam-Kobras/dp/0984203540"&gt;Check it out&lt;/a&gt;! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-3104873151001591375?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/01/pdcc114.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3OXlrXCtD3U/TxYPwbiY4pI/AAAAAAAABZc/hqLgUk_PMfc/s72-c/pdcc114.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>2</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink='false'>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777102438804878773.post-7304118134645553118</guid><pubDate>Mon, 16 Jan 2012 23:59:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2012-01-16T20:08:11.229-04:00</atom:updated><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>card challenge</category><category domain='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#'>birthday</category><title>Mojo Monday 224</title><description>I made the trek to the big scrapbooky store on the other side of the harbour this past weekend to pick up some paper I'd had put on hold &amp; found this great Lego paper while I was there. Saturday was also the birthday of a friend's little guy, and he's a big Lego fan, so I set out to make him a (belated) card with my new goodies. I made the 4 panel on the weekend, then I got stuck. Once I saw today's &lt;a href=http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2012/01/mojo-monday-224.html&gt;Mojo Monday&lt;/a&gt; sketch tho, the juices started flowing again and I was able to finish the card. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This week at the &lt;a href=http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2012/01/simon-saysspots-stripes.html?m=1&gt;Simon Says Stamp challenge blog&lt;/a&gt; we're to use stripes and/or spots and I have both covered, so yay! two challenges covered! (i count the gingham paper &amp; texture of grosgrain ribbon as stripey...) &lt;div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Gs2rYqfodNY/TxS5zOly5pI/AAAAAAAABY4/txI5JeErjjk/s640/blogger-image--188260299.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Gs2rYqfodNY/TxS5zOly5pI/AAAAAAAABY4/txI5JeErjjk/s640/blogger-image--188260299.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/777102438804878773-7304118134645553118?l=www.hanwayink.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://www.hanwayink.com/2012/01/mojo-monday-224.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Michelle Hanway)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Gs2rYqfodNY/TxS5zOly5pI/AAAAAAAABY4/txI5JeErjjk/s72-c/blogger-image--188260299.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>2</thr:total></item></channel></rss>
