First cards of the New Year!

Happy New Year!!

Well, the holidays are over, and it's back to the grind. I was able to get some stamping done this past week, and am happy with what I've done so far.

I'm holding two workshops in January - the first (Jan 11 @ 1 pm) is for some quick & easy thank you cards. We made similar cards in UStamp this fall, and I love the simplicity of them. I've made a few different color combinations and for $10, participants will make 6 cards (2 ea of 3 colors). I was going to go with set color combos for each the brown and grey cardstock, but I think I'll let the participants decide what they want to do. I'll cut up squares of a number of different colors, and let them fight it out :P

The other workshop (Jan 24 at 7pm if you're local) is Valentine's Day-ish cards. The two that I've made so far both use the Love You Much set...

I was also playing with the Love Owl-Ways set that was in the Holiday Mini. Due to the craziness of xmas cards, i didn't get this inked up until earlier this week. bad, bad Chelle! I paired it with the Top Note Die, and love the look. It might be a bit busy with the punched hearts from Love You Much, but eh. It's for a friend, and I like it, and I'm sure she will. I'm sending it more of an 'in support' card, as she's starting a new job next week after being on maternity leave, and I hope that finding a(n?) RAK in the mailbox will help ease the stress a tad. This is the back of the card... I (upside down, of course... it was easier that way). It LOOKS like a full top note, but I put a full top note on top of a folded note to give it that effect. Love it...
