On Friday night, my friend R. came over, and made some Chrismukkah cards. She designed them herself - I just cut paper and offered solutions. The inside of the cards has "holidays" and the little stack of cards from the Mr. Twigster set beside it. They turned out quite cute, I must say.
While she was working on those, I started working on a card for a friend who's having twins on Wednesday. Isn't this cute??? I love the sock monkeys on the onesies (stolen from this idea), and I had a bit of a problem getting the bow to stay on the girl monkey's hat, but it worked in the end.
I also got to ink up one of my newest sets - Mr. Twigster - and used some Frosty Days DSP (fun!) with it. I also used the winter sentiment from Best Wishes & More, and made a neat, retro-ish card. I love that the precariously-stacked presents look even more so precariously stacked due to my inability to stamp/cut in a straight line. Just fits with the card, imo.
Also in the stamp queue this weekend was another sympathyish card using the main image from Eastern Blooms. I stamped the image in pink pirouette, and then colored the branch with my sahara sand marker, and (of course) added some stickles in the middle of the flowers .
Last but not least was a card for a friend overseas who just had a baby girl (yay!!) It was similar to this card, but I like the one I linked to better. Still the thought that counts, right?
