Christmas cards at that!
I finally got a chance to hang in the cave yesterday, and it was so nice to just create again and play. I made two cards for a card challenge on one of my forums, and then another Christmas card for the heck of it. The challenge was to make a Christmas card using just one color and black/white/other neutral. I'd been playing with my Snow Swirled set, and came up with the card on the (top) left (Wild Wasabi & white) and then I case'd my own card using Kiwi Kiss & Very Vanilla (right). You can't see it in the pictures, but I traced the thicker lines & the star topper with my Versamark pen (LOVE THIS PEN) and embossed the lines with iridescent ice. The 2nd card uses the swanky SU vanilla/kiwi ribbon too. Luuuuuuuurve that ribbon. And then, because I already had the set out, I made this... It's nothing special, but it's a start.
And THEN, because I was getting stuff done, I finally finished a card I've been working on for oh, two weeks now (seriously!!), using the Season of Friendship set that I love love love. It's available in the Holiday Mini. You need it. Honest. It's not perfect, but I like it anyway. I love the rock-n-rolled leaves, and the little pile along the bottom of the card.
Finally, I fixed up the sunflower card I showed you in the last post. The brown sponging along the scalloped part was driving me nuts, so I flipped the paper over and sponged in kiwi ink, and I find it a lot less visually offensive. I also added leaves to the sunflowers, and think it looks a lot better. What do you think??
And that's that. I have two more cards to make tomorrow for a friend, so more cave time for Chelle. Wheeeeeee!
