Hoppy together!

My friend commissioned me to make a few cards for her. One sympathy-esque (anniversary of a co-worker's spouse's death), and a 6-month anniversary card for her & her bf. Yes, we're in our 30s, but she's newly divorced & blissfully happy, so why not celebrate, dammit! ANYWAY. I like how both cards turned out...
I was actually inspired by this post at Prairie Paper & Ink - a ribbon challenge. As soon as I saw that day's challenge, I knew I wanted to use this ribbon for it. And hey, it's got green on it, and a girly frog. I figured I'd make it work for an anniversary card. I think i did all right, too. The frogs were stamped in Wild Wasabi & Versamark, and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I water colored them in using a blender pen (genious, genious - thank you to whoever enlightened me to that!), and made the grass the same way. The frog prince's crown is embossed in gold powder, with red glitter for the jewels (same as the heart above her head). I added some googly eyes & drew in eyelashes on the girly frog with a SU marker. The little hearts (from Short & Sweet) are were randomly stamped in pink pirouette. I used punches to make the sentiment.

And then for something a bit simpler, I case'd my own card, using retired SU cardstock, the main image from SU's Eastern Blooms set. The flowers were water colored (not with a blender pen - will definitely do that next time), and the branch was colored with marker & huffed. I had to work awfully quickly to get everything colored nicely before I stamped. I ended up going over the branch again after it was stamped to give it a bit more definition. I also added glitter to the middle of the flowers for a bit of depth.
