Oh stamping. How I miss thee. I finally got a bit of time in the cave on Thursday, and made two cards I'm fairly happy with, both of which will be featured in my Cards with a Punch class on Nov 2 (leave a comment if you're interested in attending - room is still available!). First is a total case of Heather's awesome Sesame Street card, just adapted a bit to welcome our friends new baby boy. Isn't this great? I didn't have the right size punch for the eyes, so used black glitter glue. I love how this turned out. The second is another of Patty's great designs - the sunflower card. I used Barely Banana instead of Apricot paper, and tried sponging Tangerine ink on the edges of the petals, but I think I need more practice with my sponging technique. I also think this card needs some leaves up with the sunflowers. I'd have spaced out the flowers a bit more, but they needed to be bunched up a bit to hide the worst of the splotchy sponging. And then there's the thingy in the corner. I like the 'hi' stamp in chocolate chip, and the iridescent ice for a bit of sparkle (I"m a sucker for sparkle, surely you haven't noticed...), but the sponging on the large scalloped square that I made using the scallop edge punch is kinda Shrek-like and atrocious. Will try to perfect that before the workshop. Might even go change it tonight. Not sure. But I tried, right?

I made a couple of quick cards when mom was in town - a quick one for her birthday, and one for a friend of hers to say thanks for the money she sent mom to take me for coffee (isn't that sweet?) I love both sets I used on this card (Heard from the Heart and Always), and my new Cuttlebug borders too. So much fun stuff!! Just wish I had more time to play with it all!!

Other fun stuff... the Fall '08 session of UStamp is over now, but Holiday '08 UStamp has been announced! You can check out the details over at the official UStamp Blog. I'm already registered, but if you sign up, tell 'em I sent you :)

And finally, a new pic of CC. Seems like he fell into the pile o' ribbon on my desk, and came out with a bow on his head. What a crafty chick *cheesy grin*

Great cards! I especially love the Sesame Street one! I think I am going to have to steal that idea when I get a chance to work on more cards. =)
