My first two Stampin' Up! deliveries came on Aug 22 - most of my demo kit (left) and some additional sets (right). Due to the influx of visitors lately, I haven't quite finished mounting everything yet (oops?) but I have been playing with some of the goodies.
I made this thank you card for some friends from BC who were in town & treated us to dinner.
Stamps: Simply Said, Short & Sweet (SU)
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, & generic white card stock
Other: Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder, my SU pencil crayons & blender pens, generic silver embossing powder and some clear glitter glue.
I also completed a project for UStamp this weekend. Like I said, things have been insane, so I haven't gotten to making any of the other projects yet. But they're all printed off for when I get a chance!
Now, I didn't have the ribbon, stamp set, punches or 12x12 chocolate chip card stock, so I totally had to improvise. The design & chocolate chip base are the same, but I used dollar store & Michael's ribbon instead of grosgrain, assorted Cricut shapes, and the flower from Always instead of Wow Flowers. Also, my trusty go-to set, Short & Sweet, for the Thank You sentiment. They turned out ok, but I'll definitely be ordering more punches... So much easier than the cricut for trying to match shapes. I should've also planned ahead better (always a downfall of mine) and used the Pacific Point paper as a base, as the only 12x12 I had was something v. close to that to make the bag of. So I had to switch the colors completely for hte bag, but ah well. Maybe I'll make another set of cards with a blue base... y'know, in my spare time :) I do love the kiwi & pacific together, and the kiwi & pink, and kiwi & chocolate chip... I'm just a lime-green kinda girl :)
